App is crashing when Reactions are used

Hi,

We are using CometChatPro iOS SDK with CometChat iOS UIKit.

When we try to add a new reaction inside CometChat UIKit, we are receiving errorDescription “Something went wrong at the Chat API end” and errorCode “ERR_CHAT_API_FAILURE” . And our app is getting crashed when we try to tap on an existing emoji which is below the chat text box.

Below are the version details that we are using:
• CometChatPro version page: Release 2.4.0 · cometchat-pro/ios-chat-sdk · GitHub

• CometChat UIKit version page: Release v2.3.7-2 · cometchat-pro/ios-swift-chat-ui-kit · GitHub

Hello,

It seems that you’re using an older version of UI kit and reactions extension is not enabled from the CometChat Pro dashboard.

Please enable it and then it should work as expected.
If you’re facing any issues then please upgrade to the latest version of UI kit.

Hello,

I’m using the latest version of UIKit, I have provided the version link in the description. If that is not the latest one then please provide me the link for the latest version of UIKit.

And I had already enabled the Reactions in the CometChat Pro dashboard!

Hello,

Can you share your app credentials via intercom using CometChat Pro dashboard, so that we can look into this.

Please don’t share the credentials here because it’s a public forum.

Hello,

I have sent my app credentials via Intercom using the CometChat Pro dashboard.

Also note that the Reactions were working properly for a couple of days, then went down for few hours and then came back. They are not working now. I have mentioned the error details already.

We have integrated CometChat SDK in our app, Planning to make our app live to the users. And reactions are key to our users. Could you please look into the issue as soon as possible and provide us the solution? Thanks.

Hello @Ashok,

Yes! We’ll look into this and assist you as early as possible.
