Mentions extension not working

I have enabled Mentions extension but seem it not working when I type “@”.
Please help.

When the Mentions extension is enabled, it handles saving text messages to the database which have mentions. It then facilitates retrieval of messages where a particular user was mentioned.
However, the front-end should implement the logic to ensure that the text message contains the mention in the format @{Name|UID} . This is something which needs to be handled at your end. The message composer should include this implementation.
