Sound not coming IOS Audio call

Hi team,

We have implemented audio and video call our build, but the audio is not receiving/sending on the call. The call is initialising, and both users are in the chat, but i cant hear them, and they cant hear me. Currently using the ios sdk 2.0.8 version. Here’s code snippet:

Hi @flipspot ,

Please can you update CometChatSDK to 2.4.0. The issue is fixed in this version.

are you certain it’s a version issue? we are using 2.0.8 and whenever we upgrade it always makes other plugins stop working etc… if you are confident its a version issue i will upgrade.

Yes we are certain that the issue is fixed. Also install pod CometChatCalls 2.0.3.

So you are saying versions before 2.4.0 , call audio never worked at all? And only recently you have fixed a bug where audio call works? Am i understanding right?

Can i upgrade IOS and leave apk/web at the 2.0.8 , or do i need to upgrade all at once to avoid any issues (it takes lot of time for us developers to update)

Do you have any guide on how to update from 2.0.8 to 2.4.0. thanks @abhishek.saralaya

@flipspot You are using a very old version of iOS SDK. We had fixed this issue couple of versions later. but we always recommend our users to be using the latest version of our SDK which has many fixes and improvements.

Also, we recommend doing this for all the platforms.

You can follow our guide for upgrading iOS SDK.

Actually our project is compatible with xcode 11.4, but with 11.4 xcode we cannot use the latest 2.4.0 IOS cometchat file. pleae advise what to do…

Hi @flipspot ,
We ran the SDK in our system in XCode 11.4, the SDK is running fine on the device. But if you want to run on the simulator you need to update the Xcode to 12.4. You can replace the library folder with the zip project (http://www.filedropper.com/cometchatswift_1).

Hi team,
As per your suggestion our developer installed pod for calls and pod for cometchat pro.
But after updating pod we have some error of web rtc .and don’t know how they come.
So, please suggest us how we resolve this.
We are facing these type of issues with cometchat so, could not get proper solution.
Because its very important for app.
But if we get these type of issues again and again .this will be very painful .
I am sending an attachment with this.
Please have a look.
Please take it seriously and give a proper solution to us.!

Hi Nikhil @flipspot ,
You are using a very old version of iOS SDK. We had fixed this issue couple of versions later. but we always recommend our users to be using the latest version of our SDK which has many fixes and improvements.

Please let me know if you have any issues with the upgrade- but I don’t see a better-recommended solution for this. We will be happy to help you if you have any issues upgrading, we will be happy to help.

I dont think you got the last message. We have already upgraded to 2.4.0 from the old version, but while installing the pods as discussed, we are getting the above error @paarth.sabharwal @abhishek.saralaya

Can you please share your podfile. It would be helpful in resolving the issue and also the command is pod install --repo-update.
